Wenger makes Cuadrado move

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly interested in bringing Juventus winger Juan Cuadrado to the club, with sources suggesting that the ‘Gunners’ have already lodged a €30m bid. However, it seems that the player may not be totally sold on the move.

The Frenchman is busy making enquiries for a number of players as he looks to improve his squad with the new season rapidly approaching.

Having had a third bid for Thomas Lemar turned down by Monaco this week it appears that the former Nagoya Grampus Eight boss is starting to consider alternatives, with Cuadrado and Riyad Mahrez both potential targets.

English publication ‘The Daily Express’ reports that the Londoners have already lodged a bid of €30m for the 29-year-old Colombia international, though Juventus have yet to respond.

Despite the interest from Arsenal being very serious, the player is not completely sold on the move and in fact, it is understood that the Colombian would prefer to keep playing in Italy, where he has had considerably more success in his career than England.

As a result, Roma are understood to be eyeing up the former Fiorentina man, who looks to have slipped down the pecking order in Turin following the arrivals of Dougls Costa and Federico Bernardeschi.

Roma are on the look out for a winger and Cuadrado could be the ideal target, with Leicester looking like pricing them out of a move for Riyad Mahrez.
