Neymar’s father set to make €62m from his son’s move

Neymar’s father is set to line his pockets thanks to his son’s move to French giants PSG.

Neymar’s dad appears to have the midas touch as everything he does is turning to money at the moment.

On July 31, he will pick up a €26m bonus for his role in Neymar’s last contract extension at the Camp Nou, then, should the 25-year-old complete his move to the French capital, he will make another €36m.

According to a report in ‘Sport’, the €36m will be the former Santos man’s signing-on fee, which will be paid directly do his father. That means that Neymar Sr could be set to net €62m in legal money in as little as a week, not bad work if you can get it.

On top of all that money, there is also Neymar’s salary and image rights to consider. The Brzailian is expected to become the best-paid footballer on the planet when he signs on the dotted line with his new employers, something that is guaranteed to draw a smile from his old man.

However, as you would expect, the attitude of Neymar’s father is a cause for much concern at the Camp Nou. Barcelona officials feel that by joining PSG just a year after singing a 5-year contract, the agreement pertaining to the €26m will be broken and are therefore reluctant to pay out.
