Barcelona re-signed Adama Traore this past January, bringing him back to the club seven years after he had opted to leave for Aston Villa.
The 26-year-old Spaniard has brought in on a six-month loan deal from Wolves, with the option of making the transfer permanent in case he is able to impress on his return to Catalonia.
Traore is widely expected to make his second debut for the Blaugrana this weekend when they take on arch-rivals Atletico Madrid in a crucial encounter that will have major repercussions on the top-four battle.

Traore, for the majority of his career, has played as a right-sided winger. However, the Spaniard has shown that he has the versatility to play as a forward in a two-pronged attack or on the left flank, while he has also been utilised in a wing-back role in the past.
And, as per a report from SPORT, Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez sees the former Aston Villa and Middlesbrough winger as a good fit for two positions on the pitch.

The manager firstly plans to use Traore in his preferred position on the right flank but also has ideas of deploying him as a right-sided wing-back when he decides to switch to a three-at-the-back system.
There is a chance that Adama could be used regularly as a wing-back, especially in the UEFA Europa League, given as Dani Alves has been not registered in the squad.

With neither Sergino Dest nor Sergi Roberto impressing enough, Xavi could opt to switch to a wing-back system to get the best out of Traore as well as Jordi Alba from the wide areas.
Adama has proven that he can be a tricky customer to contain for opposition defences due to his sheer burst of pace and his physicality. His end product, however, has been a major cause of concern throughout his career, which is something that Xavi needs to help the Spanish international improve.
