Davide Zappacosta has revealed Inter Milan wanted to sign him this summer, but he plans to stay and fight for his place at Chelsea.
The right-back moved to the club from Torino a year ago for around £23m.
However, the 26-year-old has failed to win a place in the first team since then and it has caused speculation about his future to grow.
And the Italian has now revealed he was the subject of interest from Inter Milan this summer, but he is currently focused on succeeding at Chelsea.
“Inter have been after me,” Zappacosta told Corriere dello Sport.

“My agent Alessandro Lucci has told me about their interest, although I’ve always remained focused on Chelsea.
“I have three more years on my contract here and I only want to think about doing well with Chelsea.
“There’s a lot of competition here, but I want to win a place in the team.”
