After winning his second Champions League in June, Zidane spoke to ‘Champions Total’, and told them which was the most joyful day in his managerial career. To everyone’s surprise, it was not the day they beat Juventus in Cardiff.
Even though the Frenchman said it was a special day, he believed another date to be more important: the day they won La Liga title.
‘I think the day we won La Liga is the happiest in my career because it lasts 38 fixtures and it has been very special to win it [La Liga]. The Champions League is also something spectacular. I have to congratulate the players of this great club’, Zidane said.
The French manager did not underestimate the Champions League, saying he was very happy to have won it. ‘I could have never imagined winning two Champions Leagues in a row. I am happy, I am very happy and moved for what I have lived. It is incredible’, he admitted.
