Zinedine Zidane will axe Alexis Sanchez if he replaces Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, according to a report.
CaughtOffside claim that if former Real Madrid manager Zidane is given the Old Trafford reins then it will be bad news for the Chile forward.
“The former Real Madrid manager has never really rated Sanchez as a player and is understandably even less impressed with him now after his struggles at Old Trafford,” reads the report.
The former Arsenal star has managed just three goals in nine months against – Huddersfield, Swansea and Tottenham and he has looked a shadow of the player he was at The Emirates.
Apparently Zidane, who is currently out of work, has never rated Sanchez and his efforts at United have further enforced that view point.
For the time being though Mourinho looks relatively safe in his role at Old Trafford, despite the continued speculation suggesting Zidane is being line up to replace him.

Earlier this month the 46-year-old fuelled speculation he was closing in on a return to management.
According to recent reports, Zidane is ‘preparing himself’ to take charge at Old Trafford and is said to be ‘expecting the call’ from the club.
And a report in the Sunday Mirror earlier this month claimed the Frenchman had already handed the club a potential shopping list, with four players – totalling £300m – said to be on there.
But when asked just a matter of hours after the report came out if he was planning a managerial return, Zidane told Spanish TV broadcaster TVE: “Yes, surely.
“Soon I will return to training because it is what I like and is what I have done all my life.”
