
Zinedine Zidane’s son Luca Zidane is willing to play for Algeria national team instead of France, according to report.
The report in DZ football claimed that Luca is in fact eligible to feature in Algeria football squad through his grandparents. Notably, Zinedine Zidane’s parents are in fact originally from Algeria.
Luca Zidane is currently playing for Spanish Football club-Racing Santander in the Segunda division.

Luca has played in the U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19 and U-20 teams of France, he was also a part of the Europa Championship winning U-17 French team in 2015.
Luca is extremely talented and skillful but he faces competition a big competition to break into the France senior team.
France has the likes of Steve Mandanda, Alphonse Areola, Benoit Costil, Mike Maignan and Benjamin Lecomte.
This is the main reason he wants to play for Algeria according to Algerian website Competition.dz.

Algeria goalkeepers at the moment are Azzedine Doukha and Rais M’Bolhi. With them being 32 and 33 years of age respectively.
Luca can conveniently dislodge them to command a starting role in the team with time.
