NO fewer than 140 golfers are expected at the 6th edition of BOVAS Golf tournament scheduled for this weekend at Tiger Golf Club (TGC), Odogbo, Cantonment, Ibadan.Â
According to the Local Organising Committee who doubles as vice Captain of TGC, Alhaji Babatunde Salami, about 140 golfers across the country have signified their interest in participating in the one-day tourney.
He said the tournament is being sponsored by BOVAS and Company Limited, an indigenous independent petroleum marketing firm based in Ibadan.

He added that there won’t be congestion of golfers at the starter point as social distancing will be maintained.
According to him, “We have put everything in place to make the tournament memorable and also ensure we have a hitch-free tournament.
“COVID-19 precautions will be adhered to strictly during the tournament as each participant must come with a face mask as part of COVID-19 protocols.”

The cocktail is scheduled for today as the ceremonial tee off is scheduled for 7am tomorrow, while the closing ceremony is billed to take place the same day at 6pm.
