2 Division Tiger Golf Club holds 29th amateur golf championship

The 2 Division Nigerian Army Tiger Golf Club will begin its 29th Tiger amateur golf championship and pro-invitational 2024 on Wednesday November 20.

The event will take place at Tiger Golf Course, Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ibadan and hold till Sunday, November 24.

The Acting Deputy Director of the 2 Division Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Polycarp Okoye, in a statement on Sunday, said that the historic event will showcase golfers’ true friendship, collective dedication, expertise, and passion for the game.

It will also feature over 250 players who will compete for top honours amidst display of thrilling golfing skills.

The championship, according to the spokesman, is equally aimed at sustaining the civil-military relationships between the Nigerian Army and its vast publics.

It will commence with the Pro Invitational featuring 25 skilled professionals who will set the tone for the amateur players.

He disclosed that the amateur tournament will tee off on November 22, with golfers competing in various categories.

The event ends with merit awards ceremony to deserving participants on Sunday, November, 24.
