Over 200 golfers across the country are expected to compete for honours at the Tiger Golf Club inaugural tournament scheduled for this weekend at 2 Division of the Nigerian Army Adekunle Fajuyi, Cantonment, Odogbo, Ibadan.
Speaking ahead of the tournament, Captain of TGC, Mr Tunde Salami, said every arrangement is in place to make the tournament a memorable one.
He said that golfers from various clubs in the country have shown interest in the tournament.
Salami stated that his administration wants to build on the achievements recorded by his predecessors and take the TGC to greater heights.

“I must confess that my predecessors have done creditably well, but there are still a lot of work to be done.”
“I will move into upgrading the club’s reception area and create a central cashing point. There will be total clean up of the fairways and general revamping of our bunkers. I can only promise that this new committee would meet up with the expectations of our numerous members,” Salami said.
A staunch member of the club’s Board of Trustees, Colonel Ade Sunmonu, expressed optimism that new executive would deliver on its mandate.
