3SC victory over Remo Stars non-negotiable —Amoo

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) head coach Fatai Amoo has said his team’s victory in a South-West derby over new comers, Remo stars today is non-negotiable.

The Oluyole Warriors are hosts of the Sky Blue Stars in today’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match day 10 clash at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.

Amoo said that the three points are non-negotiable, but the biggest challenge facing his players is fatigue.

“The encounter is certain to be a contestable local derby, the clash between 3SC and Remo Stars.

“The distance between the sides bases is insignificant coupled with the fact that the new head coach of Remo Stars, Fatai Osho, was severally at the helm of affair at Crown FC of Ogbomoso.

“Coach Osho and his wards are quite at home and on familiar terrain in Ibadan.

“Remo Stars were not involved in the midweek make up match and must have used the occasion to rest quite well for the clash.

“On our own part we headed off to Bauchi at midweek to confront Wikki Tourists and are barely settling down for Saturday’s game.

“So if we have any issue right now as it concerns the clash against Remo Stars is fatigue on us as a result of the long and tedious trip to Bauchi and back home.

“However, that’s not making excuses the fact that the game is going to be on live television is a drive as well as tonic to bring out our best performance as the clash is a credible platform for us to market ourselves with five-star outing.

“We will certainly work very seriously to raise our game in order to earn the three points at stake which is quite key for us.

“Our position on the log is not pretty on the 18th spot, even the three points will not see us leapfrog the frontrunners, then without the points we are as good as doomed.

“We will accord Remo Stars their right respect at least, they have proven during the preseason that they could ruffle feathers, so we will surely raise our game to rightly claim the points at stake,” said the former Sunshine Stars coach told supersport.com.

3SC are 18th on the 20-team top-flight on eight points with a game in hand against champions, Enugu Rangers.
