World record holder, Tobi Amusan, has secured qualification for the 2026 Wanda Diamond League Final after a series of consistent performances in the women’s 100m hurdles this season.
The Nigerian sprint hurdler booked her place in the season-ending championship, scheduled for September 4 and 5 in Brussels, Belgium, after accumulating 28 points from five Diamond League meetings.
Amusan currently occupies second place in the Diamond League standings behind American Masai Russell, who leads with 32 points.
Both athletes are expected to compete in the remaining Diamond League meetings in London, Lausanne, Silesia and Zurich before the final in Brussels.
Strong season secures qualification
The Diamond League uses a points-based qualification system, with athletes earning points throughout the regular season to qualify for the final.
Amusan’s consistent finishes across five meetings ensured she comfortably met the qualification requirement and maintained her place among the world’s leading hurdlers.
