Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan recorded another win in the women’s 100m Hurdles, running yet another 12.28s this season to win at the Paris Diamond League on Sunday.
It is the third time in 2026 that Amusan will be running a very fast 12.28s.
The Nigerian world record holder crossed the line comfortably ahead of the field at Stade Charléty, with American Grace Stark finishing second in 12.38 seconds and compatriot Johnson placing third in 12.39 seconds.
Amusan’s winning time equalled the 12.28 seconds she previously recorded at the Xiamen and Rabat Diamond League meetings earlier this season, extending her consistent performances on the Diamond League circuit.
The Paris meeting was held under a revised and condensed schedule after a severe heatwave swept across France over the weekend, forcing organisers to cancel all lower-tier youth and regional club competitions.
Despite track temperatures reaching 32 degrees Celsius on Sunday afternoon, the 29-year-old showed no signs of slowing down. She made a fast start, cleared the barriers cleanly and established a decisive lead before the halfway point, maintaining her advantage through to the finish.

The victory further reinforces Amusan’s position among the world’s leading sprint hurdlers as attention turns to the Diamond League Final.
Having matched her season’s best time for the third time this year, the Nigerian enters the closing stages of the campaign in strong form and remains one of the favourites for the title.
