Aguero grossly underrated ―Scholes

Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes believes Sergio Aguero deserves more credit than he gets for his efforts at Manchester City.

Aguero’s 63rd-minute strike in the 1-0 win against Burnley on Sunday, saw the Argentina striker bag his 20th Premier League goal for the fifth consecutive season.

Former England star Scholes claims more credit needs to go Ageuro’s way and feels the 30-year-old is getting even better as the seasons go by at the Etihad Stadium.

He said: “It goes to show as not many people have done it. But I’m not sure if he gets the credit he deserves.

“I think he’s been sensational for years. He’s obviously playing in a great team but to do what he’s done – even just staying fit in that period – is an incredible achievement.

“He’s got so much quality and he can make his own goals as well.

“He doesn’t need the ball on a plate all the time. And we’ve seen he’s getting even better and stronger as the years go by.”
