Miami Grand Prix winner, Kimi Antonelli, extended his championship lead after holding off Lando Norris in a race-long battle.
The Mercedes driver secured his third straight victory, finishing ahead of Norris, with Oscar Piastri completing the podium. The result moves Antonelli 20 points clear of team-mate George Russell, who placed fourth.
The race began with early drama as Antonelli lost positions off the line. Charles Leclerc made a strong start to take the lead, while Max Verstappen spun after contact at Turn Two and dropped down the order.
Leclerc led briefly, with Antonelli and Norris close behind, before a safety car was deployed following separate incidents involving Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly.

After the restart, Norris moved into the lead, overtaking both Antonelli and Leclerc.
However, the strategy proved decisive as Mercedes opted to pit Antonelli earlier, as the move allowed him to regain track position when Norris made his stop laps later.
Antonelli rejoined ahead and managed the closing stages despite pressure from Norris.
The McLaren driver remained within range but was unable to find a way through as Antonelli controlled the pace to the finish.
“This is just the beginning. The road is still long. We are working super hard, and the team is doing an incredible job,” Antonelli said.
Norris admitted the team’s delay in pitting cost him the win. “We got undercut, no excuses,” Norris said.
“We should have boxed first. As a team, we have to be happy. I am gutted to miss out on a win. It was possible today. Didn’t have the pace to get back past him at the end.”
McLaren showed improved pace throughout the weekend, with both drivers competing at the front.
Leclerc, who had been part of the early battle, lost ground after his stop and dropped to sixth by the finish.
Verstappen recovered from his early spin to finish fifth after an aggressive drive through the field.
Behind him, Lewis Hamilton came home seventh, while Franco Colapinto, Carlos Sainz and Alex Albon completed the top 10.
Antonelli’s latest win strengthens his position at the top of the standings as the season continues, with the next race scheduled at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve later this month.
