Bayern are not good enough ―Robben

Arjen Robben has offered his support to Niko Kovac and says he is doing a good job for Bayern Munich in tough circumstances.

Kovac has come in for criticism since taking charge in the summer as the Bavarians have struggled to hit the form of previous campaigns and sit seven points behind Bundesliga leaders Borussia Dortmund.

There has been talk of unrest between Kovac and some senior players, but Robben has dismissed such rumours, and says his coach is doing a good job in tough circumstances.

“He is very, very ambitious and works hard, but you have to say clearly that being Bayern Munich coach is not easy,” Robben said when asked about the Bayern boss.

However, Robben did admit they cannot talk about the title this season, because they do not deserve it yet as they fight to close the gap on BVB.

“We are not allowed to talk about titles at the moment because we are just not good enough,” he added.
