Bendel Insurance, Shooting Stars game rescheduled for October 2

The Nigeria Premier League (NPFL) match day three fixture between Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin and Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan, has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 2, 2024.

Recall that the encounter between the two soccer giants was earlier scheduled for this Saturday at the main bowl of Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin.

The postponement was communicated in circular addressed to the Edo State FA and Insurance FC on Monday, by Chief Operating Officer (COO) of NPFL, David Owumi.

The postponement is due to the Edo State gubernatorial elections scheduled for the same Saturday, September 21.

The Benin Arsenals will be honouring the match day four fixture with Niger Tornadoes in Kaduna on Sunday, September 29 in place of the 3SC tie.

Consequently, the Insurers are playing straight double away and double home games.
