As the draws for this year’s edition of the Corporate Soccer Champions holds today, captains of participating companies are talking tough ahead of the championship which get underway Saturday.
Six corporate organisations are participatingbin this year’s edition scheduled to hold at Nigeria Port Authority (NPA) football pitch.
Speaking with Corporatesport by phone, captain, Etisalat team Andrew Enebeli said that his team are in high spirit for the annual championship and that they are not ready to let go the trophy it won last year.
“I know that it won’t be an easy ride this year as defending champion but I can assure our opponents that we retaining the trophy again this year”, he said.
In his words, Chidi Okoli, captain Chevron team believed the time has come for his squad to lift the trophy having came closer to lifting it in the past, adding that they have intensify their training in order to record success.
“With the level of our training, I do not see any of the companies stopping us this year. We are not leaving any stone unturned and I as usual expect tough games but we are ready for the task”, Okoli told Corporatesport.
The managing director, Corporate Soccer of Nigeria (COPSON) Onome Obruthe while speaking on the readiness of the organiser for the two days football championship informed that adequate arrangement has been put in place to have a hitch free championship as well as adequate security, with a promise that the match will be of high standard.
