The President and Founder of the Authentic Nigeria Supporters Club, Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, has advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to adjust their various programmes to fall in line with that of CAF and FIFA immediately the Coronavirus pandemic is over.
Prince Ogunjimi who spoke at the online Personality Interview of the popular “FCT Football Update WhatsApp Group” said with the present trend, in the world, the NFF does not have control over anything, but align and readjust themselves with the world order.
“We expect them to evaluate their programmes for the year and see where they requires adjustment, that will be after they have counted their losses, which no doubt will outweigh the gains,” he said.
The Supporters Club boss said the effects of the pandemic world over cannot be over-emphasised “It has already affected the world economy, which football is not an exemption. Nigeria football has had its own share. We cannot easily forget the ugly side of this pandemic on our teams like the death of Ifeanyi George of Rangers, kidnapping of Dayo Ojo of Enyimba, the shooting of Charles Tambe of Abia Warriors, among others.
“These are incidents that could have been avoided if not for the pandemic,” he added.
He further advised the NFF to ensure that the health situation of all major participants were ascertained before the games can fully resume in the country.
“It has slowed down our developmental plans in country, and we should ensure everything is perfect before we resume,”he noted.
