Emmanuel Emenike on target in Fenerbahce win

The former Super Eagles striker scored his second goal of the season as the Yellow Canaries cruised to victory in a Turkish topflight encounter.

Emmanuel Emenike scored a goal in Fenerbahce’s 2-1 home win over Gaziantepspor in a Turkish Super Lig encounter played on Sunday.

The bulky forward got the curtain raiser for Dick Advocaat’s men in the 22nd minute, Algeria striker Nabil Ghilas leveled for the visitors.

However, late in the game, maximum points was secured for the hosts when Brazilian midfielder Souza found the back of the net four minutes from full time.

With this, Emenike boasts of two goals in Fenerbahce’s uninspiring start to the season that has seen them gather just seven points from five games.

They face Aminu Umar’s Osmanlispor FK in their next league encounter.
