Former African champions Enyimba have signed Ghanaian goalkeeper, Fatau Dauda ahead of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season scheduled to start in January.
Fatau who last played for Ghana Premier League outfit, AshantiGold SC, joins Enyimba on a two-year deal having agreed personal terms, Supersport.com has been informed.
But the hierarchy of Enyimba are yet to confirm the deal as they want it to go through the Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS).
Dauda, who featured for the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup arrives in Enyimba at a time the club experienced major departures, including the exit of three goalkeepers in the off-season.
Femi Thomas, Moses Ocheje and former Golden Eaglets keeper, Joshua Enaholo, left the club for different reasons in this transfer window, leaving the People’s Elephant with just one senior goalkeeper, Theophilus Afelokhai, as well as Friday Achimugwu who has just signed for the Aba-based side in this window.
