After Manchester City’s 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday, Arsenal sealed off their 14th Premier League title, the first time in 22 years.

Here, Sporting Tribune looks back at the five key matches that helped Mikel Arteta’s side win the first major trophy in 22 years.

Man United 0–1 Arsenal (Aug 17):

A Calafiori header from a Rice corner settled the opening-day win at Old Trafford, announcing Arsenal’s title intentions immediately. 

Arsenal 5–0 Leeds (Aug 23)

Gyökeres fired home his first Arsenal goals, Timber scored twice, and teenage substitute Max Dowman won a stoppage-time penalty in a breathtaking early-season statement. 

Arsenal 1–1 Man City (Sep 21):

Martinelli pounced on Eze’s through ball in stoppage time to rescue a draw that kept Arsenal in the race when a defeat could have been crushing. 

Arsenal 4–1 Aston Villa (Dec 30):

The win snapped Villa’s remarkable 11-game winning streak and moved Arsenal five points clear at the summit heading into the new year. 

Arsenal 2–0 Everton (Mar 14)

Gyökeres tapped home in the 89th minute before Dowman ran the length of the pitch to score in stoppage time, becoming the youngest Premier League goalscorer in the process.
