Greatness House has emerged winner of the 20th edition of the Seed of Life School biennial inter-house sports competition held at the North Campus, the Polytechnic Ibadan on Tuesday.
Blue House known as Greatness House claimed the first prize ahead of Integrity (Yellow) while Mercy (Green) and Favour (Red) finished third and fourth position respectively.
In her remarks, Proprietress of the school, Mrs Kikelomo Runsewe charged the government to do more in the area of sports development by providing facilities to encourage participation in sporting activities and sending personnel to monitor talents abound in all nooks and crannies of the country.

“This sporting event also coincided with the 20th anniversary of our college.
“In the area of sports, this school has won several laurels and we believe in giving our students total education. We attach great importance to sports and we always encourage our students to effectively combine sports with academics.
“To be a well-rounded human being, it’s not only the intellect that you develop you must also develop the body and when students take part in sporting events, but it also helps them to develop both physically and mentally. In fact, we believe that the spirit of competition is not a win at all cost thing. We have fished out a lot of talents in the past competitions.

“I will advise the government to improve sporting facilities in schools because raw talents need to be discovered in our sporting events. They should also always send assessors or trainers to fish out potential talents who can be groomed to represent the country in future international competitions,” Runsewe told sportingtribune.
