According to reports, Griezmann is “hurt and upset” by Deschamps’ decision, with the manager reportedly seeing Mbappe as his choice of “legitimacy.”
Also, Griezmann is said to have expressed his disappointment at the national football centre in Clarefontaine after Mbappe was announced as the new leader.
The decision has created doubts in Griezmann’s mind about his international future, and the next week’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against the Netherlands and the Republic of Ireland may play a key role in his decision.
