Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
Former Borussia Dortmund manager Peter Stoger has revealed how Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s behaviour last year left the club with no other option than to sell him.
Dortmund sold striker Aubameyang to Arsenal in January, ending his four-and-a-half-year spell with the Bundesliga club.
Stoger said Dortmund wanted to keep Aubameyang, but his refusal to train properly forced them to cash-in, with the Gunners paying £56million.
“He left me no other choice,” Stoger told Sport Bild.

“He trained well four days of the week. But to underline his wish for a transfer, he skipped team meetings before games or refused to run during the final training.
“We did our best to keep him for at least another half a year, but Auba wasn’t ready for that.”
