Despite Manchester rivals City and United seemingly scoring when they want, goals seem to be a problem for the rest of the Premier League at the moment.
The two sides have scored 16 goals each, but with the exception of Klopp’s Liverpool on nine, no other team has scored more than half of that.
The result is that this is statistically the lowest scoring Premier League season of all time.
50 matches into the season, only 122 goals have been scored, meaning that fans have seen an average of only 2.44 goals per game.
This weekend saw attacked trumped in a number of matches, including goalless draws between Chelsea and Arsenal, as well as between West Brom and West Ham.
We might be on our way to a record low at this rate. It remains to be seen whether this campaign can outdo the record lowest scoring ratio for a full season recorded in 2006/07: just 2.45 goals per game.
