Cristiano Ronaldo
Manchester United will consider rivalling Juventus for the signature of Cristiano Ronaldo, according to reports.
The Express suggest United are contemplating their own bid for the Portuguese international if he becomes available in the summer transfer window.
Recent reports have indicated that Ronaldo will leave Real Madrid this summer as he looks for a fresh challenge ahead of the new season.
A number of outlets claim the La Liga giants are currently mulling over an £88m bid from Juventus for his services and are yet to formally respond to the offer.
The reports add that Ronaldo is looking to leave the Santiago Bernabeu after a tax investigation in Spain tainted his relationship with his current employers.
Juventus remain the bookmakers’ favourites to secure the 33-year-old this summer, however United are reportedly ready to make their own move if he becomes available for a suitable price.
In other transfer news, United have been told they can sign Chelsea winger Willian on one condition.
According to The Telegraph, the London side are open to selling the Brazil international if Anthony Martial is included as part of a swap deal.
Chelsea are one of a number of teams still linked with a move for the popular French forward and are hoping to use Willian as bait in part of any potential deal.
Talk of a possible swap is also strengthened by the fact Mourinho is a fond admirer of Willian and is keen to recruit a specialist right winger in the coming weeks.
Juventus, Bayern Munich and Tottenham are all also rumoured to be interested in a move for Martial.
