The stage is set for the finals of the Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu Under 18 Football competition scheduled to hold this weekend at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu as two million naira are up for grab by winners.
Alhaji Gani Majekodunmi, Chairman, Ogun State Football Association in a message sent to Tribunesport by whatsApp indicated that the Executive Governor of Ogun State Senator Ibikunle Amosun is expected as the Special Guest of honour at the final to be played between Sagamu Local Government Football Council team and Abeokuta North Local Government Football Council team.
Majekodunmi who expressed appreciation to the sponsor of the annual football competition; Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu for his continuous sponsorship of the football competition which has produced many talents in the state said that all necessary arrangement have been put in place to have a hitch free final and that adequate security has been put in place.
“Inas much as I want to express our profound appreciation to the sponsor,i want to assure all that the final will be explosives because it was not an easy ride to the final by both teams and that adequate security have been put in place so as to have hitch free final. Many talents will be discovered as those discovered earlier in the previous editions form the bulk of Ogun State Football team,” he said.
Odeda Local Government footbal council will take on Ikenne Local Government Football Council team in the third place match.
The Ogun State Football Association Chairman also disclosed that the overall winner will smile to the bank with one million naira while second placed team get seven hundred and fifty thousand and the third and fourth placed teamsbpicket five hundred thousand and two hundred and fifty thousand respectively.
