Wilfred Ndidi lifted by team-mate and another nominee for the EPL Goal of the Week award, Jamie Vardy after the wonder goal against Stoke City last weekend.
Nigerian international and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, following his heroics in last Saturday’s Premier League game against Stoke City has been rated among the top 10 by Sky Sports, just as his goal has been nominated for the EPL Goal of the Week award.
Ndidi, it will be recalled, last weekend put the Foxes ahead in their 2-0 win over The Potters with a spectacular long range drive at the King Power Stadium.
According to the Sky Sports Power Rankings, Ndidi occupies the second position on the list of 24 outstanding players last weekend in the English top-flight league.
The former KRC Genk of Belgium player amassed 8,908 points, but could not displace Crystal Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey who tops the chart with 9,146 points. The Wales stopper had kept three successive clean sheets before he made10 saves during his team’s heroic 2-1 win over Chelsea last weekend at Stamford Bridge.
Ndidi’s team-mate, Jamie Vardy occupies the fourth position on the chart with 8,152 points after Joshua King of Bournemouth who amassed 8,815 points, while another African and Leicester player, Riyad Mahrez occupies the fifth position with 8,059 points.
Meanwhile, Ndidi’s wonder strike against Stoke City has been nominated for the EPL Goal of the Week award with his team-mate, Jamie Vardy as one of the contenders to battle with.
Also in the race for the gong are Crystal Palace duo of Wilfred Zaha and Christian Benteke as well as Philippe Coutinho who scored for Liverpool in their 3-1 home win over Everton.
