The Nigeria Basketball Premier League (NBPL), organised by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), will kick off in four centres across Nigeria as 20 clubs are set to vie for honours in the Savannah and Atlantic Conferences of the League.
The League, according to the organisers, will be held simultaneously across the four centres in Abuja, Jos, Ibadan and Benin City between Sunday, May 17, and Tuesday, May 26, 2026.
In Abuja, Gboko City Chiefs, Nigeria Customs, Nile University, Niger Potters, and Aso Sky Hawk basketball teams will battle it out at the Mo Arena in Wuse in the Savannah Conference.

While Nile University will face Gboko City Chiefs on the opening day, Niger Potters and Aso Sky Hawk will slug it out in the second game of the day.
In another Savannah Conference, the quintet of Kano Pillars, 313 Warriors, Gombe Bulls, Plateau Peaks and Bauchi Nets are in Jos centre and will test their strength at the Basketball Stadium in Rayfield. The opening day games will see Kano Pillars engage 313 Warriors as Gombe Bulls tackle Bauchi Nets.
In Ibadan, the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Oke Ado and one of the Atlantic Conferences will host Comets, Raptors, River Hoopers, Dam Confluence Giants and Hoops and Read. Comets and Raptors, as well as Rivers Hoopers and Dam Confluence Giants, will invade the court on the opening day.
And in Benin City, Kwara Falcons, Athletes for Peace, Maktown Flyers, Coal City Blazers and Edo Beads will battle for honour at the iconic Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, where Athletes for Peace versus Maktown Flyers and Coal City Blazers versus Edo Beads will test their skills on the court on the opening day, like other centres.
