Nigeria coach lauds Ilaji boss for hosting African Minifootball Nations Cup

HEAD coach of Nigeria Minifootball team, Fabian Edaba, has hailed the commitment of the Chief Executive Officer of Ilaji Hotels and Sports Resort, Engineer Dotun Sanusi, towards sports development in Oyo State and the country at large.
He made the remarks after the closing ceremony of the second edition of the African Minifootball Nations Cup last weekend at Ilaji Sports Resort.
He stated that hosting 16 countries showed that Sanusi is a giver and a person who has the interest of the nation at heart.
“Engineer Sanusi is a wonderful man, he remains the pillar behind this competition. I believe if we have somebody like him in our football, Nigerian football would do better.
“He supported this tournament to the highest level anyone can think of, and we need to appreciate him for this wonderful gesture borne out of patriotism.
“He always motivated my players to strive for excellence, in fact, he is instrumental in our qualification for the Minifootball World Cup,” the Spartan Eagles handler said.
Meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer of Ilaji Sports Resort, Prince Araoye Adesina, has called on government at all levels and corporate bodies to support the development of minifootball in Nigeria.
“It has been great for us at Ilaji Sports Resort, it is a lot of preparation, it is a lot of work, it is a good sign to show that minifootball has come to stay. We call on the federal and state governments and every stakeholder to support this new initiative, because it is an opportunity to engage our teeming youths and solve unemployment problem in Nigeria.
“Though the hosting right of the World Cup of minifootball has not been conceded to us yet, but with what we have shown, it has proved that we have the facilities and manpower to host any competition, even the World Cup.”
