Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC) has congratulated Wahid Enitan-Oshodi on his election as President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF).
Habu Gumel, the President of the NOC said this in a Statement by Tony Nezianya, the Public Relations Officer of NOC on Monday in Awka.
Oshodi was returned unopposed in the election held during the ATTF Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Oct. 15.
Enitan-Oshodi becomes the second Nigerian to lead the continental body, following Segun George, who served from 1988 to 1996.
Gumel said Enitan-Oshodi’s rise to the esteemed position was a product of his hard work and collaborative spirit and a testament to his commitment to the sport.
“As you take on this significant leadership role, we are reminded of George Segun’s exemplary tenure, and we believe you will equally elevate the standards of table tennis across the continent.
“We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of your leadership,” he said.
