Nigeria junior international, Kelechi Nwakali scored his first goal for MVV Maastricht in their 2-0 victory over De Graafschap on Friday night.
Nwakali who joined the Eerste Divisie club from Arsenal in the summer found the back of the net for the first time in his first 10 appearances with a stoppage time strike to hand Ron Elsen’s men victory.
The midfielder, who captained Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets to win the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile, sealed the win for De Geusselt outfit with a last gasp winning goal after Thomas Verheijdt had converted a penalty in the 31st minute to put them ahead.
MVV Maastricht remain level on points with second placed Jong Ajax and two points behind leaders VVV Venlo after the matchday 18 as the struggle for promotion gets fiercer.
