Oke kicks off U-15 Private Sec Schls football tourney

Oyo State’s Commissioner for Sport, Abayomi Oke, will today take the kick off as the maiden edition of Oyo State U-15 Private Secondary School football tournament kicks off today at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan.

The competition, organised by Heroic Image Sport in conjunction with the Oyo State Ministry of Education, has drawn large interest and participation among private schools in the state.

”The enthusiasm shown by the schools is hugely impressive,” said Comrade Kenneth Umeh, President, Heroic Image Sport.

”We are expecting a keen competition and in collaborating with the Ministry of Education, we have have seen the involvement of experts in the field of sports at collegiate level. This we hope will bring about the best among the teams”

He also assured that security of teams and spectators is guaranteed as the opening ceremony is laced with fun-filled activities to mark the 2019 Children’s Day.

He also thanked Barrister Oke for the support and understanding he had shown so far on the project.
