A life skills and mentorship project focused on the importance of financial management, accessing financial opportunities and financial independence.

Speaking with journalists, the Programme Coordinator, Seun Savage, said the AOA academy in 2025 has engaged about 5000 girl-child through their programmes as they improve on their strategies to reach more schools and communities in Lagos

“We have come so far because, for the past couple of months, we have been engaging different communities in different activities.

‎“We did one at Abbati Barracks, did at Obele, and now we are here. And we have tried to reach out to over 5,000 girls in different schools, making sure that they are empowered in sporting activities, learning how to do various activities, not just football, but other aspects of life.

‎“We are already looking at the next community to extend the project to, and some talent will also be discovered, just like we keep discovering talent in some of these schools,” he said.

Also speaking with journalists, the principal of Ansar UD-DEEN Senior High School, Dalazi Adijat Kuburat, appreciated Oshoala for the gesture, describing the programme as a blessing to the school and the environment.

‎Some of the students explained that they have been able to enjoy quality training and life skills for free. They expressed their gratitude to the six-time African Women’s Footballer of the Year winner and National Women’s Soccer League striker as they appealed that similar opportunities should be extended to other communities.
