No fewer than 10,000 persons, across the country, are billed to participate in the 7th edition of the Adron games scheduled to hold at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, Ibadan, from November 16-19, 2023.
Director, Operations, Adron Sports Foundation, Mr Oladapo Emmanuel made this known during the Adron Trophy tour held at Bodija, Ibadan.
Speaking, Oladapo explained that the games will see staff of Adron, Fintech companies, banks, real estate companies, betting companies participate in both outdoor and indoor games.
He said the thousands of participants, both individuals and corporate bodies, will compete in football, volleyball, basketball, races, board games, and beauty pageants, among others.
Oladapo noted that what were to be won included cash prizes, promotional items and the grand trophy.
He explained that the trophy tour was held ahead of the games to spur the spirit of competition, spirit of competition.
ADRON’s Director, Sales and Marketing, Mrs Odunola Ogundapo added that the ADRON games was organised with the understanding that good health is a sinequanon for a sound mind at home and in the business place.
Speaking at the event, General Manager, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Mr Dimeji Lawal said the Adron games was laudable as it was a platform for the identification of talents that can represent the nation, at various levels.
Various other stakeholders at the trophy tour stressed that platforms for sports development at the grassroots must be encouraged by all and sundry.
