Sports Minister, Head of Service, Accountant General, others flag off Public Service Games walk in Abuja

Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, on Saturday, joined the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folashade Yemi-Esan, the Accountant General of the Federation, Dr Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein, permanent secretaries, and directors of various Federal Ministries to flag off the Federation of Public Service Games (FEPSGA) routine exercise in preparation for the 2024 FEPSGA Games.

The event, which was held at Moshood Abiola National Stadium Abuja, marked the beginning of the 2024 Civil Service Week celebration aims to promote physical fitness among public servants.

The minister said the importance of physical fitness and health to human body cannot be overemphasised saying it will increase productivity among the workers.

He said, “A fit and healthy workforce is essential for increased productivity in our country. We must prioritize our physical health for ourselves and for the betterment of our society.”

The Games, scheduled to commence on Monday, June 24, 2024, will feature various sports and activities designed to promote physical fitness and camaraderie among public servants.

Enoh reiterated his commitment to supporting initiatives that promote physical fitness and sports development in Nigeria.
