UCL Final: Klopp names Marcelo as Real Madrid’s ‘weakness’

Despite this fact, Jurgen Klopp didn’t want to predict the outcome of the game, especially due to Los Blancos’ ability to make their chances count.

Beating Real Madrid won’t be easy for Liverpool, but Jürgen Klopp may hold the key to defeat Los Blancos in the 2017-18 UEFA Champions League final.

Speaking in an interview with Robbie Fowler, the German boss revealed which Real Madrid player could be the key for Liverpool’s UCL triumph on Saturday evening, mainly due to his position on the pitch.

“I’d have to say…Marcelo. He is a great player, and he usually tries to help his team’s attack, but he doesn’t always return to perform his defensive duties,” Klopp stated.

However, the former Borussia Dortmund boss admitted that their opponents on Saturday still have a lot going on for them.

“Everyone says that they were lucky against Juventus. Then, everyone goes out and say they were lucky against Bayern, but this is their third straight Champions League final, and their fourth in five years. Real Madrid has a lot of experience when it comes to games like this one,” Klopp added.

Before the end of the interview, Klopp predicted both teams will get on the scoresheet, and the winner will be the one that makes less mistakes on both ends of the pitch.

“We’ll hurt each other, and in the end, it will come down to which team takes advantage of their chances in crucial moments,” Klopp concluded.
