Real Madrid did not participate in the joint statement released by 17 of the 20 La Liga teams expressing concerns over the payments made by Barcelona to a former referee chief.
Valencia was the other club absent from the statement.
Real Madrid’s absence from the statement is due to their lack of representation in La Liga’s Delegate Commission, which planned the statement’s release.
