Aaron Ramsey: This is what I was shouting to Mesut Ozil before his wonder goal

AARON RAMSEY admits he was begging Mesut Ozil to shoot when through one-on-one in last night’s Champions League clash with Ludogorets.

Ozil bagged a stunning 87th minute winner for Arsenal in Bulgaria after lobbing the goalkeeper and beating two defenders.

The German could have just blasted a shot past the Ludogorets keeper after evading the offside trap.

But he took his time and pulled off a delicate chip over the shot-stopper just outside the area before dummying two defenders in the box and calmy finishing.

Ramsey admitted he was shouting for Ozil to just blast the ball in and secure the three points.

He said: “I was just saying: ‘Shoot! Shoot!’ so many times and he kept faking.

“He’s a quality player and it was a great finish, so calm in that situation.

“I’m sure a lot of players would have shot first time, but not him.

“He made a couple of their players look a bit silly, sliding on the floor.

“It was a great finish and we’re just delighted to come away with a win.”
