Nigeria’s Peter Olayinka has vowed to replicate the spectacular goals he scored in training on Monday night if he is given a chance to make his Africa Cup of Nations debut today against Guinea-Bissau.
The game kicks off at 8:00p at the Roumdé Adjia Stadium, Garoua, and allnigeriasoccer.com scooped that the Slavia Prague winger would be on parade against the Wild Dogs.
The 26-year-old is competing with Taiwo Awoniyi, Umar Sadiq and Kelechi Iheanacho for a starting spot.
“I am still waiting till Wednesday to be sure if I am going to play. If I have the opportunity to play, like I always say I am going to give my best,” Olayinka told allnigeriasoccer.com after training on Monday night.

“This is why we train, we are learning everyday, so goals will come on Wednesday”.
Instead of linking up with Slavia Prague at their winter training camp in Portugal, Olayinka was forced to cancel his plans after he was handed a late call-up to Nigeria’s AFCON squad following the withdrawals of Victor Osimhen and Emmanuel Dennis.
“I feel very happy, I feel excited because it is a dream come true. I was called up in the last minute, I didn’t expect it but I was very happy, really excited,” Olayinka added.
On the chances of the Super Eagles winning the AFCON, Olayinka said: “Hopefully. We are taking it step by step one game after the other. I know by God’s grace we are going to get it.”
