The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter, and the Imo State Football Association have expressed shock over the demise of former Heartland FC General Manager, Promise Uchenna Nwachukwu.
In their separate statements, the Imo SWAN co-signed by the Chairman, Cosmos Chukwuemeka and the Secretary, Tunde Liadi, averred that Heartland GM dedicated many years of his life to the growth of Heartland FC.
SWAN also said he equally made significant contributions to Nigerian football through his various administrative roles, including his service as Coordinator of the NPFL Club Owners Association.

SWAN said: “We have lost a committed football administrator whose passion and selfless service left a lasting impact on Heartland FC and the Nigerian game”.
The body while extending her heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and the entire football community prayed God to grant them the strength to bear this painful loss, and may his soul rest in peace
Similarly Heartland FC of Owerri have expressed deep sorrow over the death of their former General Manager, Promise Uchenna Nwachukwu, describing his death as a painful loss to the club and Nigerian football.
The management said that the news of Nwachukwu’s death was recieved with shock, noting that Heartland fc would always remain grateful for his nearly two decades of dedicated service.
The body said that during this time with the club, late Nwachukwu served in several capacities, including Assistant Team Manager, Team Manager, Sporting Director and General Manager, contributing immensely to the growth and development of Heartland FC.
The club also acknowledged his wider contributions to Nigerian football as the Coordinator of the NPFL Club Owners Association.
Heartland FC extended their heartfelt condolences to the Nwachukwu family, and prayed God to grants them the strength and comfort to bear the irreparable loss.
The club also appealed for respect for the privacy of the bereaved family as they mourn his demise.
The body prayed God to remembered Nwachukwu for his commitment, loyalty and invaluable service to Heartland FC.
