Victor Osimhen’s manager, Osita Okolo, has said that the main focus of the recuperating striker is to come back stronger after an injury saga which ruled him out of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) billed for Cameroon in January.
Napoli star, Osimhen, had on Tuesday undergone surgery on his cheekbone and eye socket after a head-on collision with Inter Milan player during last Sunday’s  Serie A game.

Following the development, the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup winner according to the medical bulletin issued by Napoli will take three months to recover, as Okolo added his client is not thinking about the AFCON at the moment.
“Africa Cup? Victor’s priority is to be first of all well, the rest matters little now.
“He was playing very well and had conquered everyone. This injury stopped Osimhen but he wants to come back stronger than before,” Okolo told CalcioNapoli24 TV.
“Recovery times? We have to wait what the doctors say. They talked about three months, maybe it becomes two but we don’t know. It is a very complicated injury that requires caution, step by step we will see the boy’s answers”
On the purported offer from Newcastle, Okolo said that Osimhen’s focus remains the Parthenopeans.

“Newcastle? Napoli remains our home,” Okolo was quoted as saying by Napoli Magazine.
