The Falconets striker says her side is fully prepared to earn a winning start against their Asian opponents in their U20 Women’s World Cup opener in Papua New Guinea
Nigeria’s U20 women forward Chinasa Uchendu has declared that her side is ready for their opening Fifa U20 Women’s World Cup clash with Japan in Papua New Guinea on Sunday.
Coach Peter Dedevbo’s ladies who were runners-up last term in Canada will begin their campaign against the Asians with the Nasarawa Amazons player confident her side would silence their Japanese opponents.
“We are well prepared. We don’t want to know if it is Japan or any team,” Uchendu told Goal.
“I have great confidence in the set of players we have on the team. With the caliber of players we have, we can face any team and ready to beat them.
“Everything is all about God. We are putting God first in everything because without nothing is impossible. Come Sunday, we are ready and fully prepared to beat Japan.
“I believe with God on our side, the support and prayers from Nigerians everything will work out well for us,” she concluded.
