REAL Madrid have looked unstoppable in recent times, and Zidane’s team have now set their sights on smashing a world record.
Real Madrid are a serious threat when close to the opposition goal. Each move from Zidane’s team proves either lethal or incredibly dangerous with any player getting involved, from Cristiano Ronaldo to Marco Asensio, or even captain Sergio Ramos.
They all contribute. In fact, 20 players from Madrid’s squad have played over 1000 minutes this season in a more than equitable distribution of game time. The team has no trouble when it comes to banging in the goals, as they breezed past Manchester United’s record of 61 consecutive matches scoring.
Having scored in their last 62 matches, Real Madrid have successfully beaten the European register, but they want to explore new horizons by continuing their scoring streak into next season, if they manage to find the back of the net in the vital last three matches to end the present campaign.
Brazilian giants Santos, a team lead by Pelé at the time, managed to maintain their goalscoring register for 74 matches in a row, over two seasons. The legendary Pelé netted 85 times in that period of time.
At the moment, Real Madrid need to score in their next 12 matches if they want to break Santos’ incredible record.
