A judge in Brazil has ordered the seizure of Ronaldinho’s passport due to unpaid debts of two million euros, with the total amount of just six euros found in his bank accounts by the authorities.
Ronaldinho and his brother were fined for illegal construction in a protected area, but mortgaging their property hasn’t been enough to pay off the debt due to the high interest generated over the four years of judicial conflict.
His lifestyle, however, doesn’t correspond to the figure found in his accounts, as during the last couple of weeks alone he has travelled to China and Japan for advertising reasons.
Lately, he has also been in different countries in Europe and Africa, while Nike have even launched a line of shoes under his name as a tribute which, according to the judge, should bring him significant income.
On November 17, he will also participate in the ‘Game of Champions,’ a friendly which is set be held in Frankfurt (Germany), according to UOL.
