UEFA, on Monday, confirmed Daniel Siebert as the Champions League final referee, which is scheduled to take place on the 30th of May, 2026, at Puskas Arena in Budapest.
The German has been an international referee since 2015, and the final between Arsenal and PSG will be the tenth Champions League matches has handled this season.
Siebert has shown just two red cards and awarded one penalty kick in his nine Champions League games this season.
The 42-year-old, who has been an international referee since 2015, will be officiating his first UEFA club competition final.
The 42-year-old is a UEFA elite-category official, so he can certainly be trusted with high-pressure European nights, although fans will have their own partisan views.

His path to this stage has been steady, beginning refereeing in 1998, moving into the 2. Bundesliga in 2009, and reaching the Bundesliga, Germany’s top flight, in 2012. Three years later, he was added to FIFA’s international list.
Siebert has since built a solid record in major tournaments. He handled three matches at UEFA Euro 2020, including the round of 16 game between Wales and Denmark, and also took charge of the final at the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup.
