VIDEO: Bernabeu security bounce Erling Haaland father over unruly behaviour

Erling Haaland’s father, Alfie, found himself being escorted away by security during the Champions League semi-final first leg between Manchester City and Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

While Erling was helping his team secure a 1-1 draw, with Kevin De Bruyne scoring City’s equalizer in the second half, Alfie Haaland faced an early exit from the stadium. Shortly after De Bruyne’s goal, security personnel asked him to leave his position in one of the boxes.

Video footage and images captured the moment when Haaland Sr. taunted and made gestures towards Real Madrid fans following the controversial equalizer, as there were doubts about the ball going out of play earlier in the buildup.

He was seen waving and cupping his ear towards the home fans before two uniformed individuals intervened and escorted him and another person away from the scene.

In response to the incident, the 50-year-old Haaland took to Twitter to explain the situation, stating, “Ok. Real Madrid was not happy we were celebrating Kevin De Bruyne’s goal. Other than that, we had to move because Real Madrid fans [were] not happy with 1-1.”

Despite the commotion, Manchester City now holds a slight advantage for the second leg at the Etihad Stadium, even though away goals no longer carry significance in UEFA competitions.
