Goalkeepers across Europe’s top five leagues have played key roles in their teams’ defensive records during the 2025–26 season, with several standout performers shaping title races and top-four battles.
The latest figures show that David Raya leads the list with 18 clean sheets, level with Jean Butez of Como 1907, but ahead on goals conceded. The Arsenal goalkeeper has also moved closer to a third consecutive Premier League Golden Glove, a milestone previously achieved only by Pepe Reina and Joe Hart.
Mile Svilar of AS Roma follows with 16 clean sheets, while Joan García of FC Barcelona, Gianluigi Donnarumma of Manchester City and Yann Sommer of Inter Milan are all tied on 15. Michele Di Gregorio of Juventus, Mike Maignan of AC Milan and Gregor Kobel of Borussia Dortmund each sit on 14, with Berke Özer of Lille OSC completing the top 10 on 13.

Across the season, these goalkeepers have been central to their clubs’ consistency at the back.
In several cases, narrow margins between clean sheets reflect tight competition across leagues, where defensive organisation has remained decisive in title and European qualification races.
Raya’s form has supported Arsenal’s push for a first league title in more than 20 years, with his late-season saves proving important in key matches.
Elsewhere, Butez, Svilar, Sommer and Di Gregorio have contributed to strong defensive records in Serie A, while Joan García’s performances for Barcelona have marked him out as a first-choice option following his rise into the starting role.
