The Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi has suspended its technical adviser, Coach Bala Mohammed.
The decision to suspend the club’s technical adviser was reached on Monday during the emergency meeting of the club’s Interim Management Committee on Monday.
This was contained in a statement issued by the club’s Director, Media and Communications, Emmanuel Uja, adding that the technical adviser was suspended over an alleged poor performance.
Uja, in the statement and made available to newsmen in Makurdi, advised the coach to immediately hand over to the Chief Coach of the club, John Onuh.
The statement read, “The Interim Management Committee of Lobi Stars Football rose from an emergency management meeting today and ordered the indefinite suspension of the Technical Adviser, Coach Abubakar Bala Mohammed.
“The management cited poor performance as the reason for the suspension, having played 6 games and earned only seven points best of 18 and placed 6th position out of 8 clubs.
”The suspended Technical adviser has been directed to hand over to the Chief Coach of the club, John Onuh (Abacha), with immediate effect”.
It will be recalled that the Technical Adviser was appointed in August this year, before the commencement of the new season of the Nigeria Nationwide League (NNL).
Lobi Stars FC was relegated from the Premier League in the last season.
